Sailing for 20+ days, 24 hours per day. Add in sleep deprivation, skin caked in sea salt for weeks at a time, and food Brad Jackson wouldn’t even feed to a dog. Sailors have been heard saying the conditions in prison are probably better than sailing on PUMA’s Mar Mostro. Are Volvo Ocean Racers masochistic? You bet.
