3.29 e) handheld VHF shall have DSC and GPS.

3.29 E gäller A handheld…

    Ny skrivning

    e) A hand-held marine VHF transceiver, watertight or with a waterproof cover. When not in use to be stowed in a grab bag or emergency container (see OSR 4.21) The handheld receiver should have Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and be equipped with GPS.

    Gammal skrivning

    e) A hand-held marine VHF transceiver, watertight or with a waterproof cover. When not in use to be stowed in a grab bag or emergency container (see OSR 4.21)

I OSR3.29E som gäller den handeburna VHFen står det “The handheld receiver should have Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and be equipped with GPS.” och inte som för den fast installerade “……shall…..”, Enligt OSR 1.03.2 är “The words “shall” and “must” are mandatory, and “should” and “may” are permissive.

    Tack Peter

Jag missade shall och should – should kan in andra legala sammanhang innebära skall, där jag har min tolkning..

I alla fall i det här fallet, borde…
