Corby 35 Joyride = £5.000
Korkat – men troligtvis skitkul.
The current owner however is finding it difficult to maintain minimum crews of 5-8 to race and as the boat is an “Extreme Open Racer” it must be crewed by professionals. It is ideal for day racing and passage racing, large sail area make for big fun, wet and wild speeds and massive wipeouts! This is not a boat for the faint hearted! She is a big dingy be warned when the rigging hums your in excess of 17 knts and at 20+ things start getting exciting!
Corby 35 Sailing Race Boat 35foot, Corby one design sailing boat for sale. This is the original and first boat designed by John Corby in 1991. The boat features a light weight glass fiber over wood construction, Harken winches and carbon fiber asymmetric spinnaker pole. The retractable carbon spinnaker pole is 16feet taking the sale area up to a 51foot sail racer! The boat has been sailing past 10 years from home port in Glasgow, Scotland and has continued to win races year on year. Last sailing season the boat lost its rig while racing and insurance replacement arrived 2 weeks before end of season! So the boat features all new standing and running rigging, (new mast and running rigging, new main sail and new jib sail all with a little over one week of use!) The cost of replacement was £11,400 Also included and equipment attached are the following: 1 of spinnaker (one season old!) mast head, XL! 1 of spinnaker (one season old!) mast head Large! 1 of spinnaker (4 seasons old!) fractional Small! 1 of Jib (4 seasons old!) delivery and practice quality 1 of 8man life raft, off shore 3 of Harken winches 3 of Harken winch handles 4 of fenders 1 of flare pack 6 life jackets 6 harness / life lines boxes of spare rope, shackles and collected sailing gear and spares! radio, campus, Tactic wireless instrumentation and more. Note: you will need an outboard engine of 5 to 9 hp – our one is not included! This boat has everything to get out and enjoy fast cheep racing, the hull was rebuilt a few years ago and a complete new ply wood deck and fittings were added and fiber glassed to hull, this added strength and improved handicap rating. I will sell the boat and all included bits for £5000 – this would be a perfect boat for a sailing school or syndicate of friends alternatively break-up value of all the new items makes it a good investment for a boat builder or someone building a modern hull! The present location is in Scotland – however we have contacts to have her moved to any location in UK, and I would be happy to assist you in this at an agreed extra cost or you my collect. The boat is not in the water at present but will be ready to launch shortly – so now is the time to have her moved. Contact : Nick
