The J/111 does now have its own Tour: “European J/111 Circuit”

• Spi Ouest France – France : From 28th March till 1st April 2013
• Porquerolles – France : May 2013
• Normandy Sailing Week – Le Havre : From 6th till 9th June 2013
  = European Championship
• Cowes – UK : From 3rd till 10th August 2013
• Breskens – The Netherlands : September 2013

10 J111s battled it out during the last Spi Ouest in La Trinité-sur-Mer, Brittany, enough to kick-start the adventure for a one-design class. Boosted by this success and at the request of the owners, the new French J111 class has launched its own Championship.

Frédéric Bouvier, President of the French J111 Class: “There are a good forty or so J111s in Europe and we’re keen to see them racing together as often as possible. That’s why we’re launching the European J111 Circuit with five events and a European Championship incorporated into Normandy Sailing Week.

The aim is to have around ten J111 one-designs competing per race and a little over fifteen such boats in Le Havre. This circuit will be run in a friendly atmosphere with a number of special soirées on the programme”.
