Open Polish Single Handed ORC Championship
This looks like a cool event. A bit hard to fit in my schedule this year, but someone else need to go there and represent Sweden?
My name is Tomasz Konnak and I’m a member of JKM Sea yacht Club ‘GRYF’ in Gdynia in Poland. My club was established in 1928 and since then it has been associating sailing enthusiasts & organizing national & international regattas.
This Year we organize International Open Polish Single Handed ORC Championship and 28th Annual ‘Loners Race’ – Leonid Teliga Memorial Trophy. Leonid TELIGA lived in Gdynia and worked as an instructor in our club. He was one of the most famous sailors. In 1967 he started his single-handed round-the-world voyage. It took him 2 years and 2 months to finish!
These regattas are very popular in Poland & abroad. As you can see it’s the 28th time we have organized them.
