Sweet… Shaw 12.5 Offshore

LOA | 12.50 m |
Beam | 3.65 m |
Draft | 4.20 m |
Displacement | 4300 kg |
Main | 76 m2 |
Jib | 46 m2 |
Upwind | 122 m2 |
Largest gennaker | 200 m2 |
J | 5.64 m |
I | 15.99 m |
P | 17.00 m |
E | 6.20 m |

The boat is a development of Blink and differs from that design in that it has only the bare minimal interior and is optimized for offshore races and to meet the stability requirements for the Sydney to Hobart race. The Sydney to Hobart race regulations requires higher standards for stability than is typical for CAT 1 offshore races.
The design has been instigated by a client who wanted to be able to do any of the major offshore races including the Fastnet, Middle Sea Race, and the Caribbean 600.
The Builder chosen for this boat Innovate Composites, are a team of very experienced builders with a lot of Americas Cup, Volvo Ocean Race, and more recently Sail GP experience. The systems design and supply of the keel canting system is from Central Coast Hydraulics who are the world leaders in canting keel systems for race yachts. They have supplied systems to several boats for me and their quality is excellent.

Snygg!
