Royal Blue stod som segrare efter förra helgens Hyundai Cup. Men de hade inget mätbrev och borde inte ha fått starta över huvud taget.
Nynäshamns Segelsällskap tycker inte att man gjort något fel och svarar inte på frågor från undrande deltagare.
Jonas Martin-Löf visste att han hade ett problem efter att Royal Blue blev nekade att segla i SRS-klassen på Göteborg Offshore Race två veckor tidigare. Men han har innan start ändå skrivit under deklarationen “härmed intygar jag att vår besättning deltager i enlighet med god sportsmannaanda och enligt gällande föreskrifter, regler och förordningar”… Man tänker tydligen behålla bilen som var förstapris och låsas som ingenting?
Inblandade parter får nog svårt med respekten från andra seglare framöver!

Magnus Wheatleys blogg, Rule 69, är tillbaka efter ett och ett halvt års tystnad. Magnus har alltid sagt vad han har tyckt, om politiken inom segelsporten i allmänhet och Americas Cup i synnerhet. Kul att han är tillbaka i gammal god form.

Now it’s a warm and friendly place busy promoting the sport that its members love around the globe. IRC is flourishing, the races they put on are stacked to the gunwhales with talent and enthusiasm and the clubhouse is a welcoming haven in the heart of London.
Så då frågar man sig hur många av oss som skulle kunna skriva så här om ordföranden i vår egen klubb? Och för er som faktiskt basar över en klubb… vad skulle ni behöva göra för att medlemmarna skulle känna så här?
Så klart finns det hundratals frågor som behöver hanteras i en klubb. Det är ekonomi, sponsorer, hamnar, hus, båtar, seglarskolor, anställda, … Men framförallt behövs det ett visionärt ledarskap och en tydlig idé kring hur vår sport bör utvecklas!
